Ready For Some Football!

As a Mets, and in AL, Red Sox, fan, this baseball season is just awful. Thank heavens it’s football around the pike, and Lindsay Soto back on NFL Total Access. Oh, and some options action via What’s Trading.
MS Retail Store Index (MVR) is off 4.43 to 149.06 and options volume is running 8X the usual, on increasing interest in Oct 137.5 puts. One player bought 1,450 contracts for $5 even. 1,530 now traded, compared to zero existing interest. Implied vols approaching 37, from about 35.5 Friday. The defensive trading comes ahead of retail sales numbers Thursday as well as earnings from Walmart (WMT) and a handful of other retailers later in the week.
