Lou Dobbs Is Back

So if you asked me how Lou Dobbs would exit CNN, I would have guessed he’d go all Howard Beale. But apparently not. He did release this interesting statement though in Spanish. Here’s my best translation.
Over the past six months, it’s become increasingly clear that strong winds of change have begun buffeting this country and affecting all of us. And some leaders in media, politics and business have been urging me to go beyond my role here at CNN and to engage in constructive problem-solving, as well as to contribute positively to a better understanding of the great issues of our day. And to continue to do so in the most honest and direct language possible.
…..But I thought to myself and said f*** that, Univision is going to pay me some serious dinero to host Sabado Gigante. So I say to you President Obama, “tear down that wall”….that I told you to build. Open the borders! Give everyone a TV instead so they can watch me each Saturday night. They love me in Guadalajara, I can barely walk the streets any more without getting mobbed.
Oh, and from now on please call me Lou Francisco.
